The multibillion-dollar beauty industry relies on our vanity. “Ageless” is an unattainable compulsion. Not only do we need to worry about the youthfulness of every up-and-coming fresh face, but we also have previous versions of ourselves to relentlessly compete with.

Let me remind you; the struggle is all in your mind.

Aging is a gift. Aren’t we all aware of the alternative? Why must we battle every step along the way? How much life do you need to live to realize how meaningless beauty standards are, and always have been?

Does looking good make you feel wonderful? Of course, it does! Respectively, you’re not any less of a person when you look a little shabby.

“Wow! She got old!” Frightening, I know.

That’s life.

Life is happening now. You either move along with it or get left behind in your memories of what once was. You’ll never be who or what you used to be. Stop reaching for something which no longer exists.

You will always find flaws. Your appearance will never stop changing. You are the fortunate one to experience getting older.
